Tiny Habits® for Low Sugar Living!

Sugar provides a healthy flow of energy to our cells.  Natural sources of sugar have been proven to reduce illness and chronic disease. But added sugar has been proven to generate a host of negative effects including inflammation, weight gain, and type 2 diabetes to name just a few.  This is why the choice to reduce or eliminate added sugar from your diet can be one of the best health decisions you can make.

Join me and Fellow Tiny Habits Coach Andy Spyros for Tiny Habits® for Sugar Free Living and discover how to design your very own masterplan to break free from the sugar addiction and make the identity shift to sugar free living for good!

Women’s Conferences | Holistic Wellness Retreats | Behavior Design Workshops |Discipleship Workshops | Prayer Breakfasts & Fundraisers. It would be my joy and honor to help you and your guests gain tools that will encourage, inspire and equip you to ‘Design your Life with Joy!

I’d be honored to help you to provide your guests with an inspiring, fun, practical, memorable & interactive experience to help everyone to see just how simple and joyful life can truly be!

Celebrities, multi-millionaires even super star pastors – you’ve seen the headlines and it almost seems like a rite of passage – success too often leads to broken relationships, addiction, fear and loneliness.

All because true success in every area of life without authentic soul-care is impossible.

I have several featured stories in Dr. BJ Fogg's New York Times Bestselling book, Tiny Habits® , The Small Changes that Change Everything.

Check out Chapter 7 ‘Untangling Bad Habits, a Systematic Solution’ & find out how to create your very own customized ‘Master Plan’ to reverse engineer the habits you want out of your life, and to design towards the ones that move you toward your healthy aspirations and objectives.

You’ll also discover methods for ‘grieving on purpose,’ and saying ‘sayonara’ to the habits that aren’t serving you well, like my old sugar addiction that I left in the dust in less than 6 weeks.

Around the World

Though I never could have imagined how it would manifest, I’ve always known that I was destined to explore, serve and learn from others all over the world!

Around the World is a place where I share wisdom gained from my ongoing global adventures, and offer stories of hope to inform, inspire and celebrate what it means to be a part of this wonderful human family. As you visit, I hope you’ll feel encouraged to join me in doing what you can to share hope, encouragement, and love with others in your community and all around the world!

Mongolia

A New Hope

(Yes, it’s a Star Wars reference. I couldn’t resist!)

One of the most inspiring stories I've ever heard was from a new friend, Battsetseg in Mongolia.

After hearing a radio program called “Hot Tea” on WindFM about the love of Jesus, she and her husband decided to open a library for orphans.   Her stories of serving these children reminded me of when I was a homeless little girl reading donated books in a shelter in New Mexico.

Battseseg’s love for them deeply touched my heart. When we first met, many children were already enjoying her diligent work to offer them hope and joy through extreme poverty and adversity, but she and her husband wanted to do more. Her husband is a local artist, so they began to sell his paintings on the streets to pay for books. Her mission inspired her community so much that even the homeless residents were helping out. After meeting Battsetseg and learning about her dream, I knew I wanted to be a part of her mission to share hope, encouragement and love with these children. Now the library has grown exponentially. They have a building and uniforms and hope is overflowing every day!   Battsetseg says "My dream has come true!”

Thank you to all who prayed and supported me as I partnered with Battsegset in helping her God-given dream to come true!

The ‘Orphan’s Library’ provides a safe, fun, educational place to find friendship, encouragement & unconditional love.

Visiting friends at WindFM in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia!

Ghana

Theovision International

A man imprisoned for years to pay the debts of his employer, singing praises to God for goodness and grace. Barefoot messengers on bicycles traveling from community to community to share hope that never runs out. Villagers who gather in Churches with no walls and worms falling from thatched roofs to listen to the Bible in their own language, thankful for the love and peace of God.

Everywhere we visited in Ghana, I met beautiful people with unrelenting faith. Reminders all around that when God gives a vision, nothing can stop it from coming to pass.

"To see the faces of the people when they hear the hope of the Gospel in their own language, and hear the stories of lives changed for good, it's a Light that shines through the darkness." - Founder, Theo Asare

Every day, Theo Asare - Founder of Theovision International and his team work to share the transforming message of the Gospel. They also collaborate on many freshwater projects made possible through partnerships . This pump is shared by several neighboring villages.

They also offer ongoing training in sound engineering, radio, television, training, AV production, and health care services, including the newly opened Tree of Life Clinic in Accra.

Puerto Rico

Pastor Daniel and Marilyn Arzon help to coordinate and carry out various construction & recovery projects.

Here are some ways that you can help with the ongoing recovery & encouragement efforts:

Special thanks to Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill and the Dare to Be Foundation for helping me with this work!

Thank you so much for praying & for caring. Your tax deductible gift of any amount is so appreciated! Providing roofing materials, paint, clothing, food, emergency supplies & much needed encouragement. Professional trauma specialists and therapist are needed because PTSD rates are skyrocketing. (I physically felt earthquake tremors while I was there). One man’s wife had a fatal heart attack from anxiety because of the tremors.  Please pray for effective collaboration between the Churches to network with one another to meet the immediate and long term needs of thousands of displaced families. Also please pray for the Outreach team at Palmas – for health, perseverance and resources.

In 2017, Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. More than 3000 people lost their lives and the devastating destruction & catastrophic damage has left hundreds of communities still struggling to recover. With over 165,000 homes destroyed, thousands of families were displaced and are still living in unsafe and unsanitary situations.

As of August 2019, close to 30,000 families were living in homes with plastic blue tarps for roofs. Having gone through the utterly terrible experience of suddenly losing access to our home due to extensive fire damage earlier this year, my heart broke in a very personal way for those recovering in Puerto Rico and for other displaced families around the world. Our team came to do what we could to help out in early 2020.

By God’s truly Amazing Grace - I was blessed to travel to Puerto Rico as part of the Ginger Creek’s World Engage Team working in partnership with Palmas Outreach and Missions Ministry in Yabucoa and Hamacau.

Our primary objective was to help with earthquake and hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

The first home we helped with belonged to a multi-generational family - Post Maria the 7 family members including 4 children share a small home with the roof leaking in every room and one outdoor bathroom for over 2 years now. We were blessed to be able to completely repair the roof, clean up black mold, extensively repair the indoor bathroom and replace a large window that was blown out and the rain continually flooded one of their that main family gathering spaces.

Johnny Cakes!

My favorite conversation was with Mael. (Upper Left) His joy was contagious! Having survived an illness from which he was repeatedly told would take his life, he loves encouraging others to remember that only God has the final say about the situation. He and his family live in a steel shack where they sell a popular homemade treat called 'Johnny Cakes.' Mael told us: "No man is so poor that he cannot give, and no man is so rich that he does not have need. If I have two plantains, one is for my neighbor." Now that will preach!

Earlier that week, I met Wilena. (Photo lower left)

This young woman is a Warrior!

After surviving heart surgery with no anesthesia and the loss of her first child, she now spends her days encouraging others to never give up! Wow!
